All-Star Buddies

All-Star Buddies is a new interactive online site for kids.  Their mission is "to provide a safe, entertaining and educational virtual world for kids 6+. All Star Buddies takes you on a virtual adventure throughout the town of Varsity Heights."

They what they call Buddies that you can play with there are at least seven you can play with such as Blitz, Deke , and Duce .   The All-Star Buddies site teaches lessons such as good sportsmanship, teamwork and the importance of leading a healthy and active life, that I'm sure all of us are working to better.  Your children can play an assortment of games while socializing with others.  The site was built by two mothers who share a passion for sports and fitness. While their children were growing up and became more interested in the internet all the things that come with it they decided to create a fun envirnoment for all kids.  And so All-Star Buddies was born.

There's a place to learn more about each charactor so your child can pick the one they like. You can also purchase toys for your little ones. Althouh you will have to use their store locator to find a store near you to be able to purchase them.

Sunday Snipits

Thanks to Toni of A Daily Dose, I was referred to Caitlin of MommyGeekology for a little bit of a site design change.  I'm excited because I already love the header she has done up for me.

WHY OH WHY!! Sorry just a slight mishap.

Anyway on with my Sunday Snipits, Connor has been back to school for two weeks now and I have been enjoying the semi quiet mornings.  I started babysitting after I was laid off well now I'm babysitting an eleventh month old who is just now getting her canine teeth.  Boy is she clingy sometimes.  So I babysit two that go to preschool both in the morning and two that are not old enough just yet.  I think I'm going to like it but it's only been a week with the little one.  A little funny fact that I learned is that Punky, the eleventh month has the same birthday as I do.

James is doing better with the potty training than I thought, I just had to put him underwear to get him to notice what he was doing.  Apparently my brother was like that.  He didn't care while wearing diapers or pull-ups.  Yesterday he finally went poop on the potty. Funny thing though, he watched what he was doing.  So he will deffinitely be ready for preschool next year but I'm not sure I want him to go although he'll need it for the socialization.

I'm doing a little better myself about things.  Chris is so serious about doing painting projects for people.  I will be helping him get a booth for the festival that is coming up at the end of the month, Septmember.  Fingers crossed we get a wonderful turnout.  Just need to get him to do something other than planets and mountains.

There is a Wordless Wednesday coming this week.  Along with another post tomorrow morning.  I have finally been able to do a few things today since my dad helped fix my computer!! YAY! Now I'll be able to show off more pictures along with maybe one review every two weeks.

LIFE

I'm beginning to realize what I may have missed out on while being a mother for the past four years. Don't get me wrong I've loved every minute of it but I really feel like I need a vacation AWAY from all the stress of home and finances. Does anyone else feel this way?

I've felt like this for eight months now, but I've been on some medication because it got to the point that I was screaming at the boys and not wanting to do house work. Another thing that let me know something was going on was when a friend of mine asked me why I would want another baby. I've told her from time to time that I would like to have three and to try for a girl when the time was right for us again. She comes back to tell me that I was being selfish, now why on earth would I be selfish when I said I would wait til the time felt right again. I know emotionally and financially that we are not ready for another. Then I start crying and start the whole thing about me being as young as I am with two kids when it wasn't planned that way.

I really just have a WHOLE mess of things in my head that, well, are somewhat confusing because I want to take off with my kids with or without my husband to just start over somewhere, meaning that I'd like my husband to get a different job. I HATE HATE HATE that he works third shift, I'M TIRED!! I want him home. I don't sleep well period. Plus he works nights comes home in the morning then goes to bed and I'm with the boys ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. It gets very tiring after awhile.

And just having recently been fired from my part time job and becoming a stay at home mom again has been rough on me. I loved being away from the house for about four to five hours. It was a very nice break and now I can't get that. One thing good that did come out of this was that I started babysitting, kinda cheap but it's helping her and myself out.

Soccer

This is Connor's first season.  Daddy is his coach and just recieved kid/parent information.  He has five kids including Connor,  one other boy and three girls.  Chris just left to see if he could get the second practice changed because he just found out that one of the players wont be able to make it to Friday's practice because their oldest son plays for the high school football team.

We have five soccer balls at the moment but we also need a few other things to help teach them how to dribble and keep away.  There are a few games such as Red Light Green Light and Sharks and Minoes and more.  I will of course be out there as much as I can to help him as this is also Chris' first season coaching.

This is kind of exciting and kind of scary because we aren't sure what we are really getting into.  I know and he knows that there will be some parents that are a bit more competitive and so while others just want their kids to learn the game while having fun.  We will have lots of fun this fall.

In other news I've been babysitting a two year, she's just two weeks younger than James and head of him in the potty training game.  She's also going to start preschool but only for three days a week while my four year, Connor will be going four days a week.  I'm also hoping that at the beginning of September I'll be babysitting a six week old baby, but I'm not sure since the mother has been having issues with her c-section.

Connor had his physical for school yesterday(Monday) received four shots and was a good boy.  He's also is 44 inches tall and 43.5 lbs in the 90th precentile for both.  I have a very tall boy on my hands.  I'm honestly curious as to how tall he'll be come his sophomore year of high school but that's gonna be awhile.  His shots are good until 2016 when he goes into sixth grade.

I've started hard core potty training with James.  Strictly underwear during the day except for naps and bedtime.  So keep your fingers crossed for us that I can get him potty trained either by Christmas at the earliest or Valentine's Day at the latest.

Thanks for reading and keep a look out for tomorrow's Wordless Wednesday.
