The only lotions that I have in the house are mostly by Johnson & Johnson's. I like them but my skin still goes dry after a while so I have to apply more. I don't want to have to get my lotion every two hours because my skin is dry. I'd like to be able to apply once and be done. That's what Skin MD does.
For only using it for three days my arms, the general area that I've used it on has stayed soft. I should be putting it on feet because my feet are the driest on my body.
Here are a few other bloggers that have blogged about Skin MD Natural.
Dr. Benest, Dr. Wayne Weber, along with Dr. Peter Helton and others who have reviewed this product.
Dr. Benest has said, "Shielding lotions not only protect the skin's barrier but they restore the moisture to the skin and allow the skin to continue to moisturize itself, so that your skin does not become addicted on the moisturizer and ultimately cures the dry skin." I believe to be true because from what I've stated above. Everytime I've used a lotion I've had to reapply and I don't want to have to do that all day long. So with Skin MD Natural face, hand, and body I stay moisturized all day long.
Rodney Wilkenson, a commercial pilot for a major airlines company tried Skin MD Natural on his eczema on his leg that he suffered for about eight years. You can see before and after pictures here.
With all that being said I have been using Skin MD Natural religiously since I received a bottle of it four days ago. I really love the smell. It's invigorating. I put it on my face this morning after I got out of the shower because my face was so dry. Well my face has stayed soft all day long.
Who doesn't love soft skin all day long?
Skin MD Natural has chosen to send one of my readers a bottle of their own. Just go to their site and tell me what you liked about their site or what you learned. This entry must be done before extra's to count.

ReplyDeleteEczema cannot be cured but it can be controlled. My son suffers from this because of all his allergies.
ReplyDeleteAn overactive thyroid can cause skin problems too. The skin on the shins gets thick with raised plaques or nodules due to deposits of altered material in the skin. The epidermis thickens and you get an itchy, dry skin condition.
ReplyDeleteIt has a moisture ingredient that is 6 times greater than glycerin! Also, my thyroid problem might have something to do with my skin dryness.

I have hypothyroidism and didn't know it can cause cold and dry skin, which I have. I recently found out from recent blood tests that my thyroid level is off and my doctor increased my medication. My skin has been dryer than usual, so now I understand why, thanks to Skin MD's web site! Thank you for the contest!

From visiting the site I learned that Shielding lotion is more effective than conventional moisturizing lotions because it enhances the skin's own natural protective abilities by turning the outer layer of skin into a hydrating invisible shield.

very interesting that the thyroid affects the skin; I have had hypothyroidism for years and only within the last two developed adult onset acne. None of my doctors have mentioned any correlation between the two. trinitygsd at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteHere is one thing I learned-
ReplyDeleteThere are thousands of skin irritants in our modern environment that didn't exist only 50 years ago. These irritants can strip the protective barrier off your skin causing dry skin, eczema and other skin problems.

I liked learning about eczema
ReplyDeleteI learned that a gynecologist was on the research team for this item, and I have to know WHY??!!!
ReplyDeleteI learned that thyroid malfunctions can cause extremely dry itchy skin
ReplyDeleteI folow your blog
ReplyDeleterosans4@comcast.net
I learned that shielding lotion is a lotion that forms a protective barrier on the skin and keeps out irritants and chemicals. It also allows the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better.
ReplyDeleteI learned that " the proprietary formulation in Skin MD Natural has a moisturizing factor of at least 6 times greater than glycerin". This products sounds great and I have dry skin as do some of my kids. vidomich(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this I automatically thought of my six year old who has SEVERE eczema. She seriously needs a moisturizer that will last as long as possible. I was happy to see that eczema was seriously addressed there-not just the standard "helps with eczema" line you may find on some products if anything at all. They are absolutely right. You need a buffer moisturizer combined with steroids. I would LOVE to try this on her.

I really like the fact that they have user reviews, that is always a determining factor when I want to purchase something, to have a place to read what people think about it.
ReplyDeleteA shielding lotion does much more than just treat dry skin – it’s a new kind of skin care product that makes a real difference to all skin types.
ReplyDeleteI learned about the link between throid problems and skin problems. And thyroid problems run in my family. Both my mother and me have had surgery and my sister may have to have it as well.
