Novemeber 2012

Boys had fun at the Burgoo Festival.  It's a celebration in our town that symbolizes the end of Summer and the beginning of Fall in September.  Vendors come from all over selling their craft or food.  A lof of folks make what they call a Burgoo Stew.  Each recipe is different but the one I tried this year was very spicy.

Halloween was a great success.  I even dressed up as Padme.  The boys had heaps of sweet goodness loot.  I honestly surprised that it is almost gone with some help from myself and other family and friends. HAHA!

In other news:
I'm doing really well in school.  All A's!  I'm in a marketing class this month.  I'm not particulary fond of reading but I do my best to comprehend the information.  I have four classes left for my first year at Full Sail.

It is honestly amazing how much I see the name of my school in so many publications such as GameStop Magazine or Rolling Stones Magazine.  Full Sail sure is on the up and up in Entertainment.

Josh and I are still together, it was five months on the 16th, will be six on December 16th.  I'm happy with the way things are moving.  He trusts me, I trust him.  He works, I work.  He has his friends, I have mine.  We talk about everything.

Sometimes my head does a little too much thinking but I can't help that part.  It thinks because it wants to guard my most sensitive piece, my heart, my feelings.  Most of the time I've notice it starts thinking too much around the time Aunt Flow wants to interrupt things. I don't know why, could be the birth control effects or it could just be the mini person inside that looks at the negatives.

I try my best to stay positive and it helps that I have people that want to hear what I have to say when things I feel are not right with me.  I'm glad those people are in my life.

Football season is over.  The Falcons did a great job playing and learning all that they could.  We should be having a banquet soon.  I'll find out next year if the boys want to play again.

School for the boys is going well.  Grades are good even though they aren't labelled as A's, B's or C's which I find simply annoying.  I guess it changes when they get older. I don't know.

Thanksgiving was wonderful!! I hope everyone had a fun time with their families.

Christmas will be here soon.  My shopping is complete, all gifts have been wrapped.  Though I do want to get something for my lovely, compassionate boyfriend, just not sure what.  So I'll be searching high and low for that special something for him until I just can't look anymore!

One month left in 2012! It sure has been a curvy year.  Next year will be even better, I feel it in me bones, matey!!

Adoption For Travie

Little Travis is up for getting his official family in October and they need your help.  Just a small donation of 5 or 10 dollars will help.  Here is a link to Travis' fund.  This little boy needs his family.

At four months old he was in the care of Melissa and Jennifer, he is now 3 and a half years old.  I think it's time they make it official and they can do that with your help.  Just click on the link above, read their story and make a small donation.

I've know Mel and Jen for a few years but only through online.  They are wonderful parents to this little boy.  Mel, Jen and I have a common interest in The Twilight Saga, we met through twitter first then landed Facebook.  I have enjoyed seeing pictures of Travis and would love to see more of him as he grows up.

So please go to here and make a donation.

Thank you

LIFE

I'm beginning to realize what I may have missed out on while being a mother for the past four years. Don't get me wrong I've loved every minute of it but I really feel like I need a vacation AWAY from all the stress of home and finances. Does anyone else feel this way?

I've felt like this for eight months now, but I've been on some medication because it got to the point that I was screaming at the boys and not wanting to do house work. Another thing that let me know something was going on was when a friend of mine asked me why I would want another baby. I've told her from time to time that I would like to have three and to try for a girl when the time was right for us again. She comes back to tell me that I was being selfish, now why on earth would I be selfish when I said I would wait til the time felt right again. I know emotionally and financially that we are not ready for another. Then I start crying and start the whole thing about me being as young as I am with two kids when it wasn't planned that way.

I really just have a WHOLE mess of things in my head that, well, are somewhat confusing because I want to take off with my kids with or without my husband to just start over somewhere, meaning that I'd like my husband to get a different job. I HATE HATE HATE that he works third shift, I'M TIRED!! I want him home. I don't sleep well period. Plus he works nights comes home in the morning then goes to bed and I'm with the boys ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. It gets very tiring after awhile.

And just having recently been fired from my part time job and becoming a stay at home mom again has been rough on me. I loved being away from the house for about four to five hours. It was a very nice break and now I can't get that. One thing good that did come out of this was that I started babysitting, kinda cheap but it's helping her and myself out.

Wordless Wednesday 7.22

I know it's been a LONG WHILE Since I've typed but I've been busy and with having NO internet at home it's really rough to do anything.

We went to Michigan around the Fourth Of July for a family reunion, before that we had Connor's fourth birthday.   I will soon post pictures of both events but for now I will give just a few to show the fun that we've had the last few weeks.

Grandparents!!

UGH!! My dad inparticular. I swear. I just wanted to fist fight him the other day b.c he got me so pissed off.

Connor didn't have a nap yesterday(sunday(7.6.08)) and well he gets irritated just like anyone else when they are tired. Well when he gets that way and doesn't want something or doesn't want to eat something or whatever he says "no". Well when he gets to much with the no and whining about whatever it is I usually put him in his bed. Well I wasn't able to last night b.c we were over at MY parents house eating dinner.

Setting the scene:
So we all sit down, it was going well a nice sit down dinner eating roast beef with the family, until Connor shoves a handful of roast beef in his mouth and asks to get to down. Well daddy tells him not until he's done chewing, Connor says no, daddy tells him again. Well then Connor says no again and says I want down. Then Gampy jumped in and well if you knew him you'd understand. He has this overpowering personality about him and he gets scary when he gets ticked off or doing the discipline thing. Look I don't mind it when I'm not there b.c I turned out fine but when I am, let daddy or I handle it for pete's sake. So then Gampy goes on to say that I've been letting him tell me no for the past two years know there's no way to reserve it now!! WTH HOW WOULD U FUCKING KNOW. HE IS TIRED that's the only time he tells me no and that's when he goes to his bedroom. so STFU will you. Well after dinner was done, and dishes were getting put away, Amma and Daddy took the boys outside, and then Gampy again proceeds to overpower what I've been trying to tell him. He threw out that worse case scenerio, what if he's out in the street and tells u no.

OKAY Number 1) I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN THE STREET WITH HIM. Connor also knows that when a car is coming U GET THE HELL OUTTA THE WAY. I've even taught him to look both ways before entering the street. COME ON DUDE!! LISTEN TO ME for once.. but NO GAMPY JUST WONT. IT has ALWAYS been his way or the highway. give me a fucking break. U ARE THE GRANDPARENT.... u are suppose to spoil the hell outta of these boys and yet here u are disciplining them IN FRONT OF ME. THAT'S MY JOB DAMNIT!!

thanks for reading my vent, and sorry so much of it was in caps but I'm still TICKED off about it. and like I said he never listens. SO it's hard to have an adult conversation with my dad. I just don't know how much more I can take of this from him, b.c EVERYTIME we are over there he blows up about something and then it grates on me for days and makes me cry.

Makes me feel like he doesn't love me and my family like he loves my brother b.c my brother's life is going A LOT better than mine. THREE of my dreams got smashed to the ground when I was younger so what I had left was to become a mom and have a family. WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT THAT. Plus I also don't think it helped that the dog had a stroke earlier in the wk and well he is doing better, but the decision is still there, yanno.

Again thanks for reading if u did.

Fair + Heat = Tired Family

YAY I'll be in the newspaper with my son, Connor. I'll be getting a copy of that picture.. along with a copy of the newspaper. We presented a FIRST place horse. Holding him up on my left hip really irritated my siatic nerve down my right side. AND those of u that have had kids will probably know what I'm talking about. I had to put him down for a few minutes until the horse was near us.

OH, MAN.. get this the photographer had to snap twice b.c after the first one the horse got spooked or something b.c the guy that was the escort pushed Connor and I out of the way. Good thing too. I was not about to have to go to the hospital with my son. He was already too tired and didn't smile for the picture.

Besides that, the boys rode on a few rides. DH and I rode on one together and HOLY CRAPOLA!! Been a long time since I rode something like that. All in all we had a good two hours of family time.

Now the boys are snoozing on the couch and DH and I are about to head to bed, soon.

Connor is getting his 3yr pictures done tomorrow @ 10am. Then about 630pm we will take the boys to Amma's house for the night since we will be heading to *MY* high school reunion.. only been 5 years... sheesh. I'm getting old.

Seeing all those young kids..... took me back... crazy how that does that to some.
