31 Devotions for Family For Christmas Day TWENTY-THIRD Dec. 23rd

TWO DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told to them about this child and all who hear it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
LUKE 2:16-19

Make time to treasure your family this Christmas. Watch as family members interact with each other. Take joy in their facial expressions and feelings. Whenever you feel tired or stressed with nothing left to give, pray for strength and remember that the days may seem long, but the years go by quickly. Try not to miss a minute of it and ponder all these things in your own heart.

Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for each of my family members. Please give me strength and patience when I feel overwhelmed by the stress of life. Help me to take time to treasure my Family.
AMEN.

Family activity:

Have each family member make special coupons for each other. Parents can make coupons for individual "date nights" with the kids. Spouses can make coupons for breakfast in bed of a foot massage. Children can make coupons for washing the dishes, cleaning the house, mowing the lawn, making the bed for a parent or sibling, and so forth. Each family member should receive at least one coupon from every member of your family in a decorated envelope.

Stress-Free Tip:

Relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season. Christmas specials are on tv, the refrigerator is filled with goodies, and all your holiday planning is complete! Thank God for your family and friends and this special time together.

  1. ANY time you put the words chocolate and pizza in the same sentence, you have a winning combination. :-)
