31 Family Devotions for Christmas Day TWENTY-SEVENTH Dec. 27th

TWO DAYS AFTER CHRISTMAS
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
I Petter 3:15
Every baby born is a miracle from God. But when the baby Jesus was born, everyone who came to see Him knew that this baby was different. The shepherds and the wise men came to worship Jesus. They knew in their hearts the baby was Christ the Lord. Just as the shepherds spread the word about Jesus (Luke 2:17). we should be prepared to tell others why we set apart Christ as Lord. If we live by faith and hope, people will notice and want to know why we are different. Be ready to give them an answer that pleases the Lord.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, help me to be prepared to answer quiestions about my faith and to be willing to share my love for You with others.
AMEN.
Family Activity:
Make it a point to have family night at least twice a month this coming year. Have family members take turns planning the activity and the menu. Even your youngest ones will have something to contribute. One time a month, have a surprise guest night. The event planner can invite one or two secret guests whom the whole family will enjoy have over---Grandma and Grandpa, a cousin, a Sunday School Teacher, and so on. The rest of the family can take turns asking questions to try to guess who is coming.
Stress-Free Tip:
Don't forget those after-Christmas sales! Check ads in the newspaper to find out which stores are having 50-75 precent off sales. This is a great time to stock up and save for next year. Make sure you lable your boxes before you put these gifts into storage so you don't forget that you already have gifts for next Christmas.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
Gramma Karen's Peanut Butter Pie
1/3 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 prebaked pie shell
1 large box cook-and-serve vanilla pudding
2 cups froxen whipped topping, thawed
Directions:
In small bowl, use pastry blender to combine peanut butter and powdered sugar. Set aside. Line prebaked pie shell(refrigerated or homemade) with one-third of peanut butter mixture. Make vanilla pudding according to package directions and spread over peanut butter mixture. Cool. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with remaining peanut butter mixture. Chill well before serving.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Enjoy.

  1. This is kind of interesting that you should post this today. I am one of six kids and just one of us is still lost. So lost in fact that my brother and sister flew to check on him yesterday and we could only hope they made it there in time. We're hoping that somehow a miracle may occur and he'll finally see the light.
