Trick-or-Treating

Last night was nice. The boys got lots of candy! First we went up and down the street at Gam Gam's house then we took off for my parents house. While there we wanted to go up and down their neighborhood but it was just too crowded, OMG. It has never been that bad. We did end up at four houses though.

After that we headed to the fairgrounds for some food and games. James ate two hot dogs with some pretzels. Connor ate one hot dog and he also dipped crackers in MT. DEW! OMG This boy is so weird lately. Not sure what went through his head but sheesh. He liked and he ate it.

After eating we head to the games, while daddy took Connor around to play with the games. I took James and well he didn't want the candy he just wanted to play with the ducks in water or the magnetic fish.

We could've stayed longer to let them ride on some horses or jump around on those HUGE blow up bouncy things. Well it was already eight o'clock time to go home and look at the candy then bed.

We end up back at Gam Gam's house for a little bit and they ate some candy while we watched some tv.

All in all they did pretty good for their first official year out together and as a family. Next year will be better. Hubs suggested that we dress Connor up as a farmer and let him drive his gator around while James dressed up as a motorcross dude and drive his four wheeler around. Not a bad idea since we already have a few things for each.

Now it's time for us to start getting ready for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season! YIKES! Gonna have to start buying toys and clothes!

Our neighborhood was so quiet! I didn't even buy candy...the candy I did give out to the three trick-or-treaters I fished out of my kids' bags.

Thanks for commenting on my blog!

  2. Sounds like a good Halloween!! And yes, I can't believe that the holidays are right around the corner! I am trying to be ahead of the game this year myself.
